Will ceramic coating stop rock chips?
No—ceramic coating protects against chemicals, UV, and water spots, but won’t stop physical impacts. For rock chip protection, you need PPF. Many Los Gatos customers do both: PPF on the front bumper and hood, ceramic coating everywhere else.
What happens if tree branches scratch my ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating adds hardness but won’t prevent deep scratches from branches. Light surface scratches might come out with polishing. Deeper scratches need paint correction to remove. PPF self-heals from light scratches with heat—that’s why some customers get PPF on high-risk areas.
Can you detail white Tesla interiors without staining them?
Yes. White vegan leather stains easily but we use pH-balanced cleaners specifically made for Tesla interiors. We’ve detailed hundreds of white Tesla seats—the key is using the right products and not letting spills or denim transfer sit too long.
Where do you perform ceramic coating and PPF?
Mobile service works for most detailing. Ceramic coating and PPF installs are recommended at our shop (mobile service is available) where we control lighting, temperature, and dust—these finishes need perfect conditions to cure correctly.
